5 Best Fall Hotels in the US

In my opinion, if Miami experienced a fall season, it would undoubtedly be the top city in the country. I find everything about autumn to be incredible - the cooler weather, the changing leaves, and the fun fall fashion. The United States boasts some stunning fall foliage that should not be missed, with destinations like Stowe, Vermont, known as the "Fall Color Capital," as well as New York, Maine, Colorado, and many others. My goal is always to discover the best hotels while experiencing the beauty of fall. Here is a compilation of fantastic autumn getaways in the United States, some of which I have visited and others that are on my list!

Wildflower Farms- Situated just a 90-minute drive from New York City, offering an extraordinary auberge hotel set on 140 acres in Grandier, NY. The hotel has 65 standalone rooms scattered across the meadows of the property. Its indoor/outdoor design provides a fantastic way to enjoy the autumn season. Guests can partake in activities at the hotel, such as cooking and baking classes, farm picnics, interacting with the animals, hiking, a superb spa, tennis, and much more. This is an experience I have yet to try but am eagerly looking forward to for my next fall trip!

Vail Four Seasons - I have visited the Four Seasons in Vail multiple times, from summer to winter, but staying at this hotel during fall was my favorite experience. It is situated approximately 2 hours from Denver airport, or you can opt to fly into Eagle airport, which is just a quick 30-minute drive away. Even though Vail is quieter during the fall months, all the attractions, including fantastic shopping and dining options, stay open. Don't forget to try their hot chocolate at the hotel bar, whether with alcohol or not, as it is truly exceptional and fun experience. This charming village is a destination not to be missed.

Brush Creek Ranch- Located in Saratoga, Wyoming out west, is a stunning all-inclusive luxury ranch resort. The resort is conveniently accessible by private air through Saratoga Jet Center, or within an hour from Laramie Regional Airport and three and a half hours from Denver International Airport. Spanning 30,000 acres, this working ranch offers a plethora of sights to behold. It has been recognized as the top resort in Wyoming by Travel & Leisure. While the rooms may appear expensive at first glance, the all-inclusive package covers a wide range of amenities. Your room reservation includes all meals at their farm-to-table restaurants, a selection of beer, wine, and spirits, as well as access to over 40 activities. Depending on the purpose of your visit, the hotel will tailor daily itineraries of activities for you. This is truly a unique luxury dude ranch experience that you won't want to miss out on.

Woodstock Inn- If you're seeking a charming autumn escape, the Woodstock Inn is the perfect destination. Vermont is renowned for its stunning fall foliage and boasts exceptional hotels. Situated in the picturesque Green Mountains, this timeless hotel exudes rich New England charm and character. Boasting a delightful farm-to-table restaurant and an award-winning spa, the hotel is conveniently located on a bustling main street offering excellent shopping and dining options. My first encounter with this hotel was when I attended a fall wedding here, and it proved to be a truly wonderful venue and vacation.

Mayflower Inn - Introducing another boutique hotel to this collection is one that may not be familiar to many. Situated in Connecticut, my home state, is this exquisite hotel nestled in beautifully landscaped gardens and woodland. It truly is a hidden gem in the New England countryside. The closest airport is Bradley International, approximately an hour and a half by car, while New York City is a scenic 2-hour drive away. The hotel is home to a fantastic restaurant and spa, along with various activities. If you seek picturesque autumn foliage and a relaxing retreat, this is the ideal destination for you. I must stress - don't overlook the opportunity to experience a spa treatment. It was truly remarkable!
